Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in Science, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012, at Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). Admissions will be made on the basis of BARC Training School Written Test, scheduled to be conducted on the date mentioned below, followed by a selection interview, to be conducted by the Centre.

Note: Candidates, applying through GATE 2011 / GATE 2012 score, need not appear for the written test. However, they will have to appear for the selection interview, in case they are short-listed.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the three fold challan from the official website of HBNI: http://oces.hbni.ac.in/. An application fee of Rs 250 (non-refundable) is to be paid in any branch of State Bank of India. After paying the fee, one must enter the UNIQUE TRANSACTION NUMBER in the online application form in order to complete the form. Printout of the duly filled in application form, affixed with a passport-size photograph, should be sent to BARC - PhD Programme- 2012, DEO, Recruitment-IV, Training School Complex, Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai - 400 094, on or before the below mentioned date. Note: Women candidates, candidates belonging to SC/ST and Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), and physically challenged candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
